How to save on your airport parking

Use An Off-site airport parking... The cheapest deal at an official car park on airport property may still be significantly more expensive than a rate offered at a nearby 'off-site' car park.

For example, Gatwick Airport's website told me it would cost £55.99 to park the car for a fortnight in August at its cheapest on-airport car park. But using a price comparison website, I found a deal for £40 at First Response Parking car park - only just off the airport, and nearly 30 per cent cheaper. You are likely to find similar savings at other off-site Gatwick airport parkingnear other airports.

You need to weigh up whether the savings justify what may well be longer transfer times between car park and airport, and take into consideration the fact that the car park may not be as spick-and-span and offer such a slick transfer service as those on-site.
